Here are the horses of interest for this weekend running at Hakodate, Hanshin and Tokyo Racecourses:

LOUD AND CLEAR (c, 3, Giant's Causeway–Melody Maiden, by Saint Ballado) improved for a solid debut fourth over this distance Apr. 4 to graduate last time over 1800 meters of this turf course May 2 (see below, gate 7). A close relative of SW Medolina (Aragorn {Ire}), the $150K Keeneland September yearling has the half-siblings Terlingua (Secretariat) and Royal Academy (Nijinsky II) in his third generation, making him 4×4 to those horses' dam Crimson Saint. PRIMO D'ARC (f, 3, Bernardini–Wilshewed, by Carson City) defeated recent maiden winner American Nina (Carpe Diem) by nine lengths to graduate at third asking in March (see below, gate 1), but faltered over a rain-affected Chukyo main track off a week's rest when last seen Mar. 8. A half-sister to GISW Stormello (Stormy Atlantic) and GSW My Best Brother (Stormy Atlantic); a full-sister to SW & GISP 'TDN Rising Star' Cherry Lodge and GSW Gala Award; and a half to the dam of 2019 Sovereign Award winner Curlin's Voyage (Curlin), Primo d'Arc was a $400K KEESEP yearling and $500K OBS April breezer.
